Q: What is the maximum capacity of the boat?
A: 'Epicurus' can carry upto 8 people, including your skipper.
Q: Are children allowed on board?
A: Yes, we allow children with a minimum age of 5 years old. Children must be
supervised by an adult at all times. Children's lifejackets are available.
Q: What kind of activities are there to do?
A: Your charter will follow a set route depending on sea and weather conditions.
There will be opportunities to swim from the boat in areas that are safe. If you
wish to bring snorkeling equipment you can, but please remember that this is
at your own risk. All guests need to ensure that they have their own adequate
personal travel insurance.
Q: Which days can we charter the boat?
A: We can operate 7 days a week. Charters are booked on a 'first come, first
served' basis.
Q: What is the booking procedure?
A: Please complete the Booking Enquiry form and we will contact you to discuss
your specific requirements in detail. When you are ready to book, we can take
full payment or a 25% deposit by bank transfer or PayPal.
Q: What happens in case of poor weather?
A: All charters are subject to weather conditions. We reserve the right to cancel or
adapt the cruise as necessary. If we need to cancel we will schedule an
alternative day or if this is not possible arrange a full refund.
Q: What if we need to cancel our charter?
A: Cancellations are subject to a 25% administration fee. If the charter has been
paid for in full and is cancelled 6 weeks or more prior to departure, then a 25%
administration fee and any additonal costs incurred by us to return the payment
will be applied and the remaining balance refunded.
Cancellations that are 6 weeks or less prior to the charter are subject to a
25% administrative fee plus 75% of any additonal monies paid.
Cancellations that are 4 weeks or less prior to the charter are subject to a
25% administrative fee plus 100% of any addtional monies paid.
Q: What facilities are on-board?
A: We offer a small complimentary bar on board of beers, wine, soft drinks and
water.
Speciality Beers, Wines, Spirits & Champagne can be provided on request at
an additonal cost.
There is also a very small chemical toilet if required and a shower on the back of
the boat with fresh water.
Q: What can we expect from our charter?
A: Expect a great day of cruising, swimming in crystal clear clean waters, blue
skies, fantastic photo opportunities and some great memories with warm
hospitality from your skipper.
We will make a refreshment / lunch stop, the location will depend on sea /
weather conditions.
It will be a taverna of our choice which we can access by boat and have a pre-
arranged agreement to provide our guests with a delicious lunch.
The cost of lunch is not included in your charter and is payable direct to the
taverna. Alternatively you can opt to bring a picnic and we will find a suitable
place to anchor and have lunch.
Q: Are we insured?
A: We have comprehensive Marine & Public Liability Insurance
However, guests are advised that they should ensure that they should also have
their own personal travel insurance.
Q: What do we need to bring with us?
A: We recommend sunscreen, sunhat, swimwear and towel. Wear light summer
clothing (shorts / vest / t-shirt) and lightweight footwear - ideally flip flops or
sandals which can easily be slipped on and off as no footwear can be worn
aboard the boat. A lightweight sweatshirt or jacket is sometimes advisable as
it can get a bit chilly out at sea sometimes. Please bring a minimum amount
of valuables - we cannot be held responsible for any losses or breakages that
occur. A waterproof bag is advisable for things such as cameras, purses,
wallets, mobile phones, iPods etc..
NOTE: If you are using any prescribed medication, please ensure that you have
have this with you or have taken your necessary dosage prior to coming aboard.
If you think you may suffer from some sea sickness then medication from over
the counter may be handy. We are unable to dispense any form of medication.
